Where to Watch The Fireworks In Bristol This Year

We’ve gathered the ultimate selection - from dazzling pyrotechnics shows complete with food stalls, music and rides, to smaller community events with low-noise fireworks - all of which offer the perfect opportunity to get together with family, neighbours and friends while gazing up at the night sky.

1. Downend Round Table Fireworks 2023 

When: Friday, 3rd November 2023, gates open at 17.30

Where: King George V Playing Fields, Downend, BS16 6UY

We’re opening the list with a bang with the Downend Round Table Fireworks display!

This renowned Bristol event offers one of the most impressive firework displays in the city and is just 20 minutes from Brabazon by car or 35 minutes by bike.

This year there will be a bonfire and not one, but two dazzling displays. There will be a bar offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, plenty of food stalls, and entertainment by Party Peeps, who will be leading the fun throughout the night.

2. Patchway Fireworks To Music 2023

When: Saturday, 4th November, gates open at 17:00

Where: Norman Scott Park, Patchway, BS34 5JR

The first Patchway Fireworks to Music attracted 4,000+ attendees to watch fireworks to the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman.

It’s the closest on our list to our new community at Brabazon - just a seven-minute cycle ride or a 30-minute walk. 

The soundtrack theme for this year is “Relight my Fire”, and will feature music from the last 70 years. You can expect a fabulous 20-minute firework display, live outdoor performances, as well as food and drink for everyone to enjoy alongside the 15-minute display.

3. Bradley Stoke Fireworks Display 2023

When: Sunday, 5th November 2023, gates open at 16:30

Where: Savages Wood Rd, Bradley Stoke, Patchway, BS32 8HL

Bradley Stoke Fireworks Display is a small charity event with free entry. Donations will be collected on the night for the Mayor’s charities - Prostate Cancer UK and The Brightwell.

This free firework display is around a nine-minute drive or a 12-minute bike ride from Brabazon.

4. Almondsbury Fireworks 2023 - A Tribute To Star Wars

When: Friday 3 November 2023

Where: Almondsbury Recreation Ground, Gloucester Road, Almondsbury, BS32 4AA 

Every year, Almondsbury Creative aims to explore new horizons with its Fireworks events, and this year's spectacle promises to be larger and more spectacular than ever!

In addition to the fireworks with music, they are introducing Star Wars-themed entertainment, featuring attractions such as Jabba the Hutt's hideout, Lightsabre training sessions, roaming characters, laser and pyrotechnic displays, and much more! All within a 15-minute bike ride from Brabazon.

5. Bristol Fireworks Fiesta 2023 Charity Fireworks

When: Saturday, 4th November 2023, gates open at 17:30

Where: The Canford Park Fireworks Fiesta is Bristol’s largest charity event. 

This year’s pyrotechnics display will last an impressive 17 minutes and is supplied by the winners of the 2023 British Firework Championships – Skyburst. All profits made during the event will be donated to The Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Children’s Appeal.

Canford Park is under 15 minutes from Brabazon by car.

6. Old Down Country Park Low-Noise Fireworks 2023

When: 3rd November, 4th November and 5th November 2023, gates open at 17:00

Where: Old Down Country Park, Foxholes Ln, Old Down, BS32 4PG 

The annual Low Noise Fireworks at Old Down Country Park are back! 

This exciting event is under 15 minutes from Brabazon by car. It will feature a warming bonfire and a dazzling display of low-noise fireworks to music, making it perfect for families with young children.

You will be able to keep warm on the night around the bonfire with something delicious from the food stalls.

7. Henleaze Community Fireworks Display 2023

When: Saturday, 4th November 2023, 17:00

Where: Henleaze Infant School, Park Grove, Henleaze, BS9 4LG 

If you’re looking for a family-friendly night full of fun, community-focused activities and, of course - fireworks, this is the one for you. Come hungry, as there will also be a wide variety of food stalls. You’ll be able to choose from hog roasts, pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, and more.

There will also be a tuck shop, licensed bars, UV face painting, rides and even a mini disco!

This event is just 17 minutes away from Brabazon by car, or around 25 minutes by bike.

8. Fireworks at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club 2023

When: Friday 3 November 2023, gates open at 17:00

Where: Seat Unique Stadium, Nevil Road, Bishopston, BS7 9EJ

Returning for another year, the Cricket Club is partnering with the Ashley Down Schools Federation to organise this exciting North Bristol event.

Enjoy a range of food, games and stalls, with the evening climaxing with a fabulous fireworks spectacle or dazzling colours and glimmering lights. The cricket club is under 20 minutes from Brabazon by car or 25 minutes by bike.

Other notable Bonfire Night events near Bristol include the Bath Racecourse Fireworks and the Weston-Super-Mare Grand Pier Fireworks at Sea.

Plus, there are a host of viewpoints on which to gather with your friends and loved ones to watch the fireworks going off across Bristol. These include Brandon Hill, the Clifton Downs, Bedminster Down and Dundry Hill.
