Autumn 2022
The community at Brabazon grew significantly during the autumn, when the first residents at The Navigator Building moved into their new homes. We celebrated with a social ‘meet your neighbours’ event to give the new residents a chance to get to know each other.
With the rapid progress being made at The Hangar District, in September, YTL Developments submitted a detailed planning application for the next phase of new homes at Brabazon. Designed by award winning architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, the proposed plans would include a mix of 107 2, 3 and 4-bedroom houses, alongside 232 studio, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments.
But places are about people, rather than about buildings, so we have also been pressing ahead with plans for new community facilities. In October, planning permission was granted for what will be the a focal point for the new community: Brabazon Park.
At over 15 acres, Brabazon Park will become the largest urban public park to be built in the South West for over 50 years. This modern reimagining of Britain’s historic tradition of urban public parks will offer something for everyone, with mature trees, exercise areas and adventure playgrounds, all set around a three-acre lake.
