A new partnership will bring the community together in North Bristol at Brabazon

11TH APRIL 2023

This April, a new funding partnership will see an extra community development manager start work in North Bristol to help integrate residents at Brabazon with the surrounding areas of Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

Anna Malina, Community Development Worker at Southern Brooks

Under the programme, Anna Malina, an experienced community manager (pictured above), will arrange activities and neighbourhood events to engage the residents in the local area, with funding being provided by YTL Developments as part of a new agreement with Southern Brooks.

Using the Royal Society for Public Health Community Spirit Framework to measure success and identify where support is needed most.

The planned programme will include welcome workshops, community meetings, drop-in sessions and pop-up events. It will also provide targeted funding for local groups, helping anything from book clubs to gardening groups and parenting networks with everyday expenses, and will support a schedule of newsletters and social media initiatives to communicate community information.

As part of her work, Anna will also look to identify and support potential community champions to promote community wellbeing and events across the area.

Join us in welcoming Anna to the community at Brabazon on social media.
