Spitfire Hangar, delivered by YTL Live, the team behind the upcoming YTL Arena, has now opened its doors and introduced a vibrant new destination at the heart of Brabazon. The historic hangar has been transformed into a warm, characterful space that celebrates its aviation past while offering a relaxed place for people to meet, enjoy great food and discover new activities. 

A Buzzing First Morning

From 08:00, the atmosphere inside Spitfire Hangar was lively as visitors arrived to explore the building for the very first time. Mokoko Bakery opened its largest cafe yet, serving freshly baked pastries and expertly made coffee that quickly became the highlight of the morning. 

Locals and early risers enjoyed a relaxed mix of wellbeing and family friendly activities that gave a first look at how the hangar will be used in the months ahead. The YTL Developments team also stopped by, grabbing coffees and making good use of one of the meeting pods, offering an early glimpse of how the spaces support work, socialising and everyday life.

A New Place for Events & Everyday Gatherings

Alongside Mokoko, Spitfire Hangar includes a selection of flexible spaces available to hire for workshops, meetings, exhibitions and celebrations. With its restored Belfast trusses and dramatic scale, the venue provides a memorable setting for gatherings of up to 300 people. 

These spaces are now open for bookings, offering residents, local groups and businesses a distinctive new venue within North Bristol.
