Anticipated to complete potentially as soon as Autumn 2026 as part of MetroWest Phase 2, North Filton station will connect Brabazon to Bristol Temple Meads in less than 15 minutes and join seamlessly into a network of public transport connections and active travel routes, supporting seamless connections and more sustainable travel options for Bristol.
Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, a regular train service will take passengers to and from North Filton station at Brabazon, calling at Henbury, Ashley Down and Bristol Temple Meads stations and opening up a number of connecting routes across the UK.
Board the train at Brabazon to meet friends in Cardiff or Birmingham. Head down to the coasts of Devon and Cornwall to rest and recharge. Or commute into town via Bristol Temple Meads. Make your way to Bristol Parkway to make a connecting train to London Paddington.

North Filton station is perfectly placed at Brabazon. Whether you’re commuting to work at The Enterprise District, One Brabazon Gateway or The Interchange; attending a world-class event at YTL Arena Bristol; or simply traveling home to your sanctuary at Brabazon. The station will provide quick and easy access to all that’s planned for the neighbourhood.
The new station will connect with the M4 MetroBus as it passes through Brabazon. It will also link into a network of dedicated cycle paths and segregated walking routes that will criss-cross the neighbourhood.
As part of the plans, there will be step-free access, blue-badge parking spaces, covered waiting areas and ticket machines on both platforms.
There will also be a manned ticket office, making it just the third station to be staffed in the region after Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway.
Ample covered cycle parking will be available at the entrance of the station, and the station will be monitored by CCTV for added piece of mind.

The West of England Combined Authorities and Great Western Railway have shared that North Filton station has been accelerated. It is now expected to open in 2026 as part of MetroWest Phase 2.
The train service will begin at Henbury station, calling at North Filton station, Ashley Down station and ending at Bristol Temple Meads. Onward connections include Redland station, Clifton Down station, Bedminster station, Bath Spa station and more.
The station is being built by Network Rail, working in partnership with the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) as part of the MetroWest Phase 2 initiative.
Yes, there will be public car parks within easy reach of the new station, and allocated parking for blue-badge holders at the station itself.
There is also ample covered cycle parking, as well as a taxi rank and MetroBus stops nearby to allow for easy onward travel.
Until the new North Filton train station is operational, Patchway station, Bristol Parkway Station, and Filton Abbey Wood station are the closest railway links to Brabazon, all within a 10-minute journey by car.
Major services through these stations connect Brabazon to Bristol Temple Meads, London Paddington, Cardiff Central, the Midlands, Somerset, and the South West.
